“Give me a kiss for luck, lass,” he commanded, effectively cutting off her protest with both his words and his lips.

She didn’t have time to react. Not that she could if she wanted to. She was too stunned. Or too . . . something.

The moment his mouth met hers, a storm of sensations threatened to overwhelm her. The velvety firmness of his lips. The tangy whiskey on his breath. The sparks of awareness created by the brush of his fingers against her skin.

It was all too much.

And yet, not nearly enough.

Her body moved of its own accord, edging close enough that she couldn’t tell if it was her heart hammering against her chest or his. This story was more than I could have asked for. Gray and Jess have a past. One that left them both heartbroken and not able to move forward, even when they both have tried over the years. Following a horrific accident, Jessica is back in Willow Creek Valley. Grayson has done his best to move on, but the truth is, Jessica left a hole in his heart that no one can fill, except maybe his sweet Amelia. As they bump into each other, they quickly figure out that no matter how much they want to deny their feelings, they really can’t.

Grayson has his walls up. Jessica left him once before. He doesn’t want to allow Jessica to get close to him. But there is no denying the love these two have for each other. Jessica had her reasons for doing what she did, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t love Grayson just as much now as she did then.

I loved watching this story unfold. I loved getting to see love conquer all. I loved seeing Grayson become everything Jess, Melia, and his family needed. I loved falling head over heels for such a strong heroine. I loved seeing her overcome. I loved seeing her find her happy. I loved that they were able to overcome so much to be what the other needed. This story was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. I can’t wait to see what’s to come next in this amazing series.

MEET NIKKI ASHTON

Nikki lives in Cheshire with her husband, two dogs and lovely mother-in-law who supplies her with endless cups of tea. She writes romance with a touch of humour and lots of love, and hopes that she puts a smile on her reader’s faces. Her ambitions of becoming a writer started at the age of 10 when she started writing poetry at school, and was given the honour of reading one of her poems to the rest of her year group (a truly embarrassing experience that she will never forget). Nikki is grateful for the wide variety of strange and wonderful people in her life, otherwise she’d never know what to write about! She is currently talking to family and friends, finding out their innermost secrets in readiness for her next book.

5 STAR Review

Boy oh boy. I’m not sure I was prepared for this amazing story. Hunter and Ellie were just the cutest things ever. Ellie is supposed to be off-limits but Hunter is pushing that limit. I love the dynamic Hunter has with is family. They have been through a lot, but they’ve come out stronger in the end. Ellie is smart, sexy, and stubborn. She’s got her family who has her back. I love that she gives as good a she gets.

These two were everything I could have hoped for while being amazing individually. I loved getting lost in these two amazing people. I loved when Ellie let her guard down and allowed herself to feel. I loved that Hunter was ready to be what Ellie needed.

I loved every second of this book. Once I started I could not put this book down. I loved falling in love with these two and their story. I can’t wait for more form Nikki Ashton.
