Oh, good heaven above. Meghan March has knocked it out of the park with another one of her amazing stories. Gabriel Legend was more than I could have hoped for. When Meghan writes a hero you never know what you are going to get. Each one is different, but the same in the sense they always make me swoon. They also make me want to jump in the pages of the book and be the heroine.
Let’s talk about our hero a little more. Gabriel Legend is just that. He put his former life as a fighter behind him. Legend is fiercely loyal and protective. Gabriel’s also a man of mystery. But after a horrible opening night at Legend, Gabriel needs help reinventing the club he worked tirelessly for. Enter Scarlett Priest. Scarlett was more than Gabriel bargained for. Fighting the attraction for the woman who was literally dropped at his door is harder than it should be. As time passes, Gabriel wonders if Scarlett could be part of his world.
Scarlett Priest…where to start with the woman who appears to be the princess of her castle, but maybe it’s all a smokescreen. More than anything, Scarlett wants her father’s love. She does all the right things, says all the right things, even dates the men he would approve. She does all this while putting on a good face. I think what I loved most about Scarlett is that while she tried to control some aspects of her life, there were some she couldn’t control. Most important being her heart. And boy did it want what it wanted.
This book was captivating, intriguing, and suspenseful. It was everything I’ve come to know and love from Meghan, but it was more. This book felt different, good different. I finished the first book in a matter of hours, now the wait is on for the next. Please check out The Fall of Legend, I promise you will not be disappointed.
